Defending Knife & Handgun Defense in Bethesda, MD

On November 12th, 2012, First Defense is holding a special Defending Knife & Handgun Defense workshop in downtown Bethesda, MD.
In this class we will learn and practice a variety of defenses and tactics against an assailant using a bladed weapon or a handgun as a means of threatening or intimidating their victim.

3 New Full KMG Instructors Join First Defense

Congratulations to Will, Tammy & Terry on completing the Part 3 of the KMG General Instructors Course. This makes them full Instructors under KMG. In addition to that, all three tested for and earned their rank of Graduate 1.

Another congratulations goes out to Cassie, Paul & Omar for completing the Part 2 of the KMG General Instructors Course.

With just one vote you can help First Defense Krav Maga provide training and support to survivors of abuse and assault.. Working in partnership with the Bridge to Freedom Foundation, First Defense will use this grant money to fund specialized programs for survivors of modern day slavery as well as increase and improve many other aspects of our studio including adding more women's training, increasing instructor training, and expanding to new locations in the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC area.

Pepper Spray Class – June 30

This 2 hour class will introduce you to the various application methods, dangers, physiologically effects and systems that are available. We will have several applications and systems readily available so that you can see what each offer and the application technique.

Free Introduction Class in Rockville, MD

This is a free, one-hour beginner level class for anyone interested in learning more about Krav Maga and self-defense.

8-Week Krav Maga Basics Course

The Summer Session of our popular 8-Week Krav Maga Basics Course starts on July 11th, 2012. Classes are on Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm.

Krav Maga "College Prep" Course

This course, designed specifically for High School and College/University students, gives you the tools you need to avoid bad situations as well as how to protect yourself against common threats and attacks. In this 3-week course, we will introduce you to Krav Maga principles, theories, and techniques.
