Youth Krav Maga Program
FDKM's Youth Krav Maga program is real Krav Maga adapted for the needs of our younger practitioners.
This course is for children ages 5-13.
First Steps
All students enter FDKM with a 3-class trial. You can use this pass for any of the Youth Krav Maga classes we offer (Mon-Thurs at 5pm or Sat at 9am). This gives the student an opportunity to try out a couple of classes and get a feel for what we do and how we do it. Krav Maga is a system that focuses on self-defense and each class will have physical, technical, tactical and mental elements. One day we may be using verbal skills and boundary setting to avoid fighting and on another day, we may be defending ourselves from someone trying to kick us on the ground. Having to opportunity to come into several classes gives new students a better idea of what Krav Maga is and how it can benefit them.

Awareness & Attention
The ultimate goal of self-defense is to avoid, prevent or de-escalate situations before they become dangerous. Awareness & attention skills are essential for our younger students in helping them make effective decisions in regards to their personal safety.
Self-Defense
Krav Maga is one of the most practical self-defense systems in the world. Not all problems are avoidable and should a situation occur where you need to get physical, these classes will offer basic techniques and tactics that will help you solve the problem and get to safety quickly.
